SuperJCe Thanks! I'll look into it and try it, but I feel this is something that should just work. Also you said in your first post "tools are inoperative. SuperJCe Thanks for the tips, but no luck in Mudville tonight,.
I'll keep poking and maybe try VirtualBox as Staudey said it worked for them. The tools that are inoperative or specifically the one I need are the ability to resize the VMWare window.
I am somewhat surprised I can't find anything about this issue on the Solus or VMWare sites and even Google didn't return much. At the stage, I found Solus already got Win10 folder, and what I have to do is to make it accessable at the Solus.
I did accordinly as "sudo -S vmhgfs-fuse. So, I modified the statement line as "echo [root passwd] sudo -S vmhgfs-fuse. As systemd is a complete new kernel module other than sysV, vmware tools is no longer support for the guest OS, and instead open-vm-tools is suggested by vmware.
Actually, one may just install xfvideo-vmware package in the guest OS terminal, the Solus screen will then works fine. In summary: Install open-vm-tools, then xfvideo-vmware, by which my Solus xfce and plasma works fine now. Linux is surely the better choice than Windows, even compared to Windows 10, which also advanced finally somewhat to point omega the secure destination.
Having a virtual machine isolated from the rest of the system gives you an even more secure system. However, the right approach for a secure transfer of bitcoin or generally browser-based trading is this:. Otherwise Ubuntu is a great Linux distro, comes with more than packages freely available in its repositories, and is therefore usable for many other things than trading or transferring cryptos.
You don't have to replace Windows. Just go to our getting started with VMware page and test it for yourself. And if you want a really secure trading environment, than change your setup to the above mentioned one with two Xubuntu VMs. This gets only topped by our Qubes trading environment. Apps included in this Ubuntu VMware Tools are also installed and tested. VMware images Debian 11 Xubuntu Ubuntu Appliance Xubuntu However, the right approach for a secure transfer of bitcoin or generally browser-based trading is this: Host system Linux-based, ideally also Xubuntu or Debian 1st Xubuntu VM for insecure operations like surfing and everything else 2nd Xubuntu VM only for selected ops that have to be done securely like trading and transferring money.
