Can you imagine how it felt to be Yorick at that moment? Beth had become a symbol to him—the reason to keep on going forward—only to have it all torn away with the truth. Agent was one of the few constants in the series, and there's no doubt that she's the reason Yorick survived as long as he did.

Because of her main character status, it was easy to assume that she would be an exception to the devastation that occurred all around Yorick. Agent 's death was both shocking and heartbreaking. There was no buildup to it; she wasn't even in any apparent danger at the time. In fact, Yorick had just finished revealing his feelings towards her. She was shot by a sniper without ever really having a chance to respond to Yorick.

Or to enjoy the peace she had certainly earned. Many endings can be bittersweet, but none so much as the ending in Y: the Last Man. There were several elements in this conclusion to break our hearts; the passing of Ampersand, for example. It was a moment that could have been glossed over, but the creative team opted to show us the raw pain and emotion of Ampersand's death. And it very nearly broke the readers. Later, Yorick is revealed to have survived all of the events, but they certainly left him changed.

His ending is bittersweet in the purest form, leaving a question for readers to hang on to. She's known for being a bit on the quirky side, but that doesn't diminish her passion in the least. As you may have guessed by her nickname, she is also a cat lover, though truthfully she loves most animals she has the opportunity to meet.

With the COVID pandemic and lockdown holding things up even further, the already-extended options for the show's cast members expired on Oct. The news of the cancellation came before FX even finished airing Season 1, and Y: The Last Man showrunner Eliza Clark quickly expressed her desire to continue telling the story.

In an interview with CBR in November, Clark again expressed her hopes for a Season 2, but couldn't confirm if there had been any progress in securing a new home for the show. This isn't the first time that future episodes of Y: The Last Man have been linked to a new home.
