Add to windows media player list

You can visit the Microsoft site to download the latest version of Windows Media Player. Here you will see playlist options in the left pane as well as categories such as artist, album, songs etc.

To start adding music and other media types to your library, click on the small down-arrow icon which is situated underneath the library tab at the top of the screen. A drop-down menu will appear giving you various options.

Click on Add to Library and make sure your media type is set to music as in the example screen shot. Windows Media Player gives you the option to select what folders you want to scan for media files — such as music, photos, and videos. The first thing to is check to see if you are in the advanced options mode by looking for the Add button.

When you see the Add button, click on it to start adding folders to the monitored folders list. Finally, click on the OK button to begin the process of scanning your computer for media files. After the searching process is complete, close the search dialog box by clicking on the close button. Your media library should now be built and you can check this by clicking on some of the options on the left pane.

For example, selecting artist will list all the artists in your library in alphabetical order. Right-Click and then select Edit on the fields available to enter the proper data i. Most audio file formats support an image tag field which can be used to add cover art and other related images to the audio file. To add an image to the file, select the file, open the Images tab and press the Add images to the tag button. Right-click on it and click on Add cover.

Then select the image you want to add. It will scan your library for albums, and then show you each album and the cover art associated with it, if any.

You can review each album cover if you like. Open the Groove app and Right-click on the album you want to add a cover too. Click on Edit Info. Right Click on the album art and choose the image you want to add as an album cover. Once downloaded and installed, open the program. A standard MP3 file only contains audio data, with no additional information about the artist or type of audio contained within it. From the pop-up menu, click Update album info. Wait to see if the correct album art is located and applied.
